Kuwaitis are securing opportunities at top U.S. universities and community colleges

The USA Collegiate Placement Kuwait Program was founded by Steve Avila in 1990, who began the initiative with a clear mission: to help talented baseball players leverage their athletic abilities into life-changing college opportunities. As the former Northwest Scouting Supervisor for the Cleveland Indians, he helped hundreds of players earn college scholarships and pro contracts, including many future Major Leaguers. What started as a focused baseball-to-college recruitment effort quickly grew, driven by Steve's personal commitment, strong network of contacts, and a hands-on approach that delivered real results for student-athletes and their families. ​That early success reinforced the idea that with the right support, any student can find their path and turn big goals into real opportunities.
